NOTE:-In no case will a licence be granted for power exceeding ten watts.

5. The station shall always be equipped for reception as well as transmission, and the sending apparatus shall invariably be tuned accurately within the limits specified in the particulars.

7. A record shall be kept of all transmissious, showing the date and times of each transmission and the wavelength and system (tonic-train, C.W. or telephony) employed.

8. No transmission shall commence without listening-in on the wavelength which is to be used in order to ascertain whether the proposed transmission is likely to interfere with any other station which may be working. No single transmission shall last for more than ten consecutive minutes and each transmission shall be followed by a period of not less than three minutes listening-in on the wavelength used for transmission. Such listening-in must be in all cases performed by the licensee in person. Trans- mission shall at once be discontinued or postponed at the request of any Government or commercial station.

NOTE: Call signals are not allotted to stations for receiving only.

11. Before beginning to call, the licensee must adjust his receiving-apparatus to the highest possible degree of sensitiveness, and make sure that the station which he wishes to call is not engaged in communication and that no excessive interference will be caused to other communication in progress within range on the frequency to be used. If the licensee finds that transmission is taking place, or that there is a probability of such interference occurring, he must wait for the first break before calling, unless he has ascertained that his working will not interfere with communication in progress.
